This 35 cm Birkin from 1997, is constructed of gold Vachette Grainee des Ardennes leather, which is a very hard to find leather. Ardennes leather is very sturdy and holds its shape surprisingly well, complete with thick pressed grains and a slight sheen. This Birkin also features the highly sought after gold plated hardware. The interior is lined in luxurious Chevre leather in matching gold color.

This bag has been gently carried and is in excellent condition considering its age! The bottom corners show signs of wear and some very light soiling. The bottom metal feet have surface scratches. The sides of the bag show very light creasing and there is wear and some fading at the top of the gussets. The draw straps show fading and signs of wear. The handles have started to smooth at the top, with some hairline scratches and marks. Additionally, the glazing along the top edge of the handles have started to split. The hardware has surface scratches throughout. The clochette is worn along the top and the key bell has some staining on it from being redyed. The interior has light surface scratches and wear along the base, as well as some faint stains inside the front pocket, but otherwise the interior is clean and in excellent condition.
