The Louis Vuitton Mahina Collection was inspired by the phases and crescents of the moon. In Polynesian culture, Mahina is a lunar deity. This fabulous collection uses the Mahina leather that has been drummed softly to pull up the grain and the skins are then coated to preserve their beauty. The Mahina collection also has the meticulously perforated Monogram pattern which makes it unique.

The exterior leather is clean and in good condition overall, but shows signs of use throughout. The leather piping around the base has darkening and wear. The bottom metal feet have scratches and have faded to silvertone. The handles have also darkened and are heavily worn. There are some loose threads at the base of the handles, though they do not affect the bag at all. The glazing on the edge of each handle is peeling, with the leather starting to separate and curl at the glazing on the front handle. The smooth leather handle bases have surface scratches and the glazing on the top of them is peeling as well. The hardware throughout the bag has surface scratches and has started to fade to silvertone in many areas. The interior clasp closure has heavy scratches and has faded to silvertone throughout. The interior is clean and has no odor, but has visible stains on the bottom base. Overall this bag has been well loved and is looking for a new home!
