This lovely creation by Louis Vuitton is named after a renowned Paris market. With its unique shape and details such as the petal-shaped leather tabs and golden orb hardware, it is truly one of those endearingly chic pieces that become better with age. Recent retail price is $1170.
The classic Monogram Canvas has been Louis Vuitton's trademark design since it was first introduced in 1896. The graphic symbols, including the quatrefoils and flowers, as well as the LV Monogram were used to prevent counterfeiting in the early days when it was first patented. Made of coated canvas, the Monogram's traditional look is also endured by its durability.
The exterior canvas is clean and in good condition with some natural creasing. The leather has developed a nice dark honey patina with wear along the side piping. The bottom corners have heavy signs of wear, with some of the bottom corners started to peel. The handles have darkened at the top from being held and have an uneven patina throughout. The glazing on the edge of the handles has faded. The interior is clean and in great condition with some fading to the lining. Overall this bag has been well loved but is still in great condition.
