The Louis Vuitton Cup is a yachting competition sponsored by Louis Vuitton for the America's Cup. In 1995, Louis Vuitton released a line in honor of the race being held in Southern California. This collection was only sold at the races and therefore, extremely rare. The LV Cup flag insignia was silk-screened onto a stunning red coated canvas and the traditional leather trim. This bag also features a long adjustable strap that can be worn on your shoulder or across the body. The exterior canvas has a few light scuffs. The leather has turned a lovely deep honey patina with signs of wear to the bottom corners and trim. The strap has faint watermarks and signs of wear. The leather of the strap is darker from use and has a darker mark from where the buckle rests. The goldtone hardware is flaking. The interior is clean and in great condition. Overall, this bag has been well loved but has held up great throughout the years. Please note that because this bag is limited edition, it does not have the normal LV date code, and instead has an LV Cup stamping along with its limited edition number.
