The classic Monogram Canvas has been Louis Vuitton's trademark design since it was first introduced in 1896. The graphic symbols, including the quatrefoils and flowers, as well as the LV Monogram were used to prevent counterfeiting in the early days when it was first patented. Made of coated canvas, the Monogram's traditional look is also endured by its durability.

The exterior canvas has a tear at the top left corner and signs of wear to the corner edges. The plastic trim on the back and base near the weels has significant scuffing as well as the rubber trim on the side. The leather trim has darkened and has scuffing and wear. One of the zipper pulls is bent and the goldtone metal has surface scratches and flaking. The interior is clean with light wear throughout.
