Karl Lagerfeld designed the Boy Collection as an interpretation of the boyish charm that Coco Chanel was known for. Karl was stated as saying that the very spirit of Chanel was inspired by Boy Capel, the love of her life; which is why this new collection is called the "Boy Chanel." A slight change of pace from the usual Chanel designs, this bag is made of beautiful lambskin leather and goldtone CC closure. This particular bag is the original medium size of the collection and features a long chain-link strap with a leather pad that can be used as a long strap or looped around as a shoulder bag. Current retail price of the 'old' style medium size is $6900.
The exterior leather is clean and beautiful throughout but shows rubbing to the bottom and flap corner edges. The sides and base have some scuff marks. The hardware is bright and shiny with light surface scratches. The shoulder pad has some light wear. The interior has scuff marks to the underside of the flap. The main interior is clean with signs of use but remains in very good condition overall.
