The classic Monogram Canvas has been Louis Vuitton's trademark design since it was first introduced in 1896. The graphic symbols, including the quatrefoils and flowers, as well as the LV Monogram were used to prevent counterfeiting in the early days when it was first patented.
The exterior coated canvas is clean and beautiful. The handles and trim have developed a medium patina with some soiling and scuffing. The handles have darkened from use and shows light wear. The hardware is bright and shiny with surface scratches and some tarnishing. The interior is clean but has a faint cigarette odor. Overall the bag remains in very good condition.
