The classic Monogram Canvas has been Louis Vuitton's trademark design since it was first introduced in 1896. The graphic symbols, including the quatrefoils and flowers, as well as the LV Monogram were used to prevent counterfeiting in the early days when it was first patented. Made of coated canvas, the Monogram's traditional look is also endured by its durability.

The exterior canvas is clean with creasing throughout. The leather has developed a dark honey patina with overall scuffing and rubbing present. The handle has darkened from being held and the glazed edges have wear. The canvas shoulder strap has some creasing but remains clean. The goldtone hardware has flaking and is starting to tarnish in areas, but overall is still bright. The interior lining has some spots and a faint musk scent, but otherwise is clean and has no visible signs of heavy wear.
