Karl Lagerfeld designed the Boy Collection as an interpretation of the boyish charm that Coco Chanel was known for. Karl was stated as saying that the very spirit of Chanel was inspired by Boy Capel, the love of her life; which is why this new collection is called the "Boy Chanel." This gorgeous and extremely rare bag is made almost entirely of a light beige crocodile skin. The flap top is trimmed in classed diamond stitched quilted leather and the bag features a long chain-link strap with a leather pad that can be used as a long strap or looped around as a shoulder bag. The bag has a convenient rear flat pocket and three interior pockets as well. Estimated retail is approximately $40000.
The exterior is clean and beautiful throughout with minor wear to the bottom corners and flap corners. The base has light soiling and the base and sides show minor creasing. The leather and crocodile shoulder strap also has minor creasing. The interior leather remains clean throughout. The authenticity sticker has yellowed slightly. Overall the bag remains in great condition.
