Karl Lagerfeld designed the Boy Collection as an interpretation of the boyish charm that Coco Chanel was known for. Karl was stated as saying that the very spirit of Chanel was inspired by Boy Capel, the love of her life; which is why this new collection is called the "Boy Chanel." A slight change of pace from the usual Chanel designs, this bag is made of mixed chevron quilted fabric with lambskin leather. This particular bag is the original Medium size of the collection and features a long antique goldtone chain-link strap with a leather pad that can be used as a long strap or looped around as a shoulder bag. Current retail price is $5000.
The exterior is clean and beautiful throughout with rubbing and light wear to the bottom corners and flap corners. The leather trim and handles show some scuffing and the strap has softened slightly. The interior leather has scuff marks and signs of wear from gentle use. Overall the bag remains in very good condition.
