Karl Lagerfeld designed the Boy Collection as an interpretation of the boyish charm that Coco Chanel was known for. Karl was stated as saying that the very spirit of Chanel was inspired by Boy Capel, the love of her life; which is why this new collection is called the "Boy Chanel." A slight change of pace from the usual Chanel designs, this bag is made of quilted lambskin leather with a unique black and white quilted border. This particular bag is the New Medium size of the collection and features a long antique Ruthenium chain-link strap with a leather pad that can be used as a long strap or looped around as a shoulder bag. Current retail price is $5500.
The exterior leather is clean and beautiful throughout with light wear along the flap edges. The white leather edges appear to have been re-touched by the previous owner. The quilted flap has light creasing and a few faint scuff marks. The leather shoulder pad has creasing as well. The interior remains clean throughout with minor signs of wear. Overall the bag is in very good condition.
