Karl Lagerfeld designed the Boy Collection as an interpretation of the boyish charm that Coco Chanel was known for. Karl was stated as saying that the very spirit of Chanel was inspired by Boy Capel, the love of her life; which is why this new collection is called the "Boy Chanel." A slight change of pace from the usual Chanel designs, this bag is made of beautiful blue quilted lambskin leather. This particular bag is the original medium size of the collection and features a long goldtone chain-link strap with a leather pad that can be used as a long strap or looped around as a shoulder bag. Last known price of the 'old' style medium size was $4700.
The exterior is clean and beautiful throughout with some light signs of gentle rubbing. There is rubbing to the corners of the flap and the bag, and along the trim. The underside of the flap has minor creasing and a blue stain. The hardware is bright and crisp. The leather of the shoulder strap has rubbing. The main compartment remains clean and overall in excellent condition.
