Karl Lagerfeld designed the Boy Collection as an interpretation of the boyish charm that Coco Chanel was known for. Karl was stated as saying that the very spirit of Chanel was inspired by Boy Capel, the love of her life; which is why this new collection is called the "Boy Chanel." A slight change of pace from the usual Chanel designs, this bag, from Pre Fall 2013 is made of gorgeous smooth lambskin leather with a brown pony hair flap. This particular bag is the medium size of the collection and features a long ruthenium chain-link strap with a leather pad that can be used as a long strap or looped around as a shoulder bag. Retail price is $4700.
The exterior leather is clean and beautiful. The bottom corners and flap corners show light rubbing and wear. The lambskin leather has light scuff marks throughout and creasing to the sides. The leather shoulder strap has softened slightly. The interior leather is clean with light stretching to the flat pocket. Overall the bag remains in very good condition.
