Karl Lagerfeld designed the Boy Collection as an interpretation of the boyish charm that Coco Chanel was known for. Karl was stated as saying that the very spirit of Chanel was inspired by Boy Capel, the love of her life; which is why this new collection is called the "Boy Chanel." A slight change of pace from the usual Chanel designs, this bag is made of beautiful quilted leather. This particular bag is the original medium size of the collection and features a long ruthenium chain-link strap with a leather pad that can be used as a long strap or looped around as a shoulder bag. Please note this bag was purchased in 2015 for $4700. Current retail is $5000.
The exterior leather is clean and beautiful, but has light creasing and has rubbing and wear at the bottom corners. The strap has faint wear. The underside of the flap has minor scuffing. The main interior compartment shows light wear, but overall is in good condition.
