Karl Lagerfeld designed the Boy Collection as an interpretation of the boyish charm that Coco Chanel was known for. Karl was stated as saying that the very spirit of Chanel was inspired by Boy Capel, the love of her life; which is why this new collection is called the "Boy Chanel." This gorgeous bag is made of smooth calfskin leather and is the largest size of the collection and features a long chain-link strap with a leather pad that can be used as a long strap or looped around as a shoulder bag. Original retail price was $5000.
The exterior is clean and beautiful, but has light hairline scratches throughout with some creasing to the sides and light wear on the bottom corner edges. The leather shoulder pad has light creasing and light hairline scratches. The leather has split near one of the corner seams of the flap. The underside of the flap shows rubbing, scratches, and light spots. The main interior compartment shows light wear, but otherwise is in good condition.
