Karl Lagerfeld designed the Boy Collection as an interpretation of the boyish charm that Coco Chanel was known for. Karl was stated as saying that the very spirit of Chanel was inspired by Boy Capel, the love of her life; which is why this new collection is called the "Boy Chanel." A slight change of pace from the usual Chanel designs, this bag is made of quilted lambskin leather. This particular bag is the New Medium size of the collection and features a long antique ruthenium chain-link strap with a leather pad that can be used as a long strap or looped around as a shoulder bag. Current retail price is $5500.
The exterior leather is clean but has rubbing and scuffing along the edges and bottom corners. The hardware has some surface scratches but remains bright. The leather shoulder strap has rubbing to the edges and light wear. The interior lining is clean and remains in excellent condition.
