Karl Lagerfeld designed the Boy Collection as an interpretation of the boyish charm that Coco Chanel was known for. Karl was stated as saying that the very spirit of Chanel was inspired by Boy Capel, the love of her life; which is why this new collection is called the "Boy Chanel." A slight change of pace from the usual Chanel designs, this bag is made of quilted goatskin leather and patent leather. This particular bag is the New Medium size of the collection and features a long antique Ruthenium chain-link strap with a leather pad that can be used as a long strap or looped around as a shoulder bag. Current retail price is $5200.
The exterior leather is clean but there is wear and scuffing to the base. The corners show wear and rubbing. The strap shows wear and creasing. The underside of the flap shows light scuffing. The hardware is bright and crisp with some light scuffing. The interior lining shows some wear, light soiling, light staining, and some spots, but otherwise is in good condition.
