Karl Lagerfeld designed the Boy Collection as an interpretation of the boyish charm that Coco Chanel was known for. Karl was stated as saying that the very spirit of Chanel was inspired by Boy Capel, the love of her life; which is why this new collection is called the "Boy Chanel." From the 2014 collection, this bag is made of stunning quilled lambskin and patent leather trim with a stunning front and back panel made from tweed fabric and multicolor beads. This particular bag is the original Medium size of the collection and features a long chain-link strap with a leather pad that can be used as a long strap or looped around as a shoulder bag. Retail price is $12500.
The exterior leather is clean and beautiful throughout but has signs of wear to the bottom corners and flap edges. The beading and tweed remain clean and overall in very good condition. The long strap has light creasing and signs of use. The hardware is bright and shiny with hairline surface scratches. The interior lining is clean with some minor scuffing and wear. Overall the bag is in great condition.
