Karl Lagerfeld designed the Boy Collection as an interpretation of the boyish charm that Coco Chanel was known for. Karl was stated as saying that the very spirit of Chanel was inspired by Boy Capel, the love of her life; which is why this new collection is called the "Boy Chanel." A slight change of pace from the usual Chanel designs, this bag is made of lavender colored lambskin leather. This particular bag is the medium size of the collection and features a long antique ruthenium chain-link strap with a leather pad that can be used as a long strap or looped around as a shoulder bag. Current retail price is $4900.
The exterior leather is clean and beautiful with signs of wear and soiling to the bottom and flap corner edges. The sides and base have some light scuffing and the rear shows visible transfer marks/soiling. The piping along the front flap has faded slightly. The underside of the flap has some scuffing but the main compartment is clean and in good condition.
