The graphic symbols, including the quatrefoils and flowers, as well as the LV Monogram were used to prevent counterfeiting in the early days when it was first patented. The exterior canvas is clean and beautiful. The leather trim and strap have developed a nice light honey patina, with water marks throughout and a faint mark on the strap where the buckle has come into contact with the leather. There is also minor wear to the bottom corner edges of the leather piping. The goldtone hardware has surface scratches. The interior is clean and in excellent condition.
