The classic Monogram Canvas has been Louis Vuitton's trademark design since it was first introduced in 1896. The graphic symbols, including the quatrefoils and flowers, as well as the LV Monogram were used to prevent counterfeiting in the early days when it was first patented. Made of coated canvas, the Monogram's traditional look is also endured by its durability.

The exterior canvas is clean and in great condition with creasing throughout as well as minor wear to the bottom corner edges. The leather has developed a honey patina with water spots and wear overall (please refer to photos). The leather trim on the bag has heavy creasing (please refer to photos). The shoulder straps also show creasing and have heavy wear to the red glazing (please refer to photos). The goldtone hardware has darkened and shows some flaking. The interior lining has pen marks and small spots throughout, as well as carries a faint musk odor. Otherwise the interior is clean and without heavy wear.
