The Louis Vuitton Monogram Vernis line was first introduced in 1998. In French "vernis" means varnish which explains the shiny and sparkly effect of the bags. It is a monogram embossed coated leather which is like patent leather and has been released in many different colors throughout the years.

The exterior Vernis is clean and beautiful, but there are faint signs of rubbing in the bottom corner edges. The leather has developed a light caramel patina with some faint water spots throughout. The leather top handles and the leather trim on the bag show minor wear. The shoulder strap has slight creasing and signs of wear. The goldtone hardware has surface scratches. The snap closure on the far left side no longer snaps together. The interior lining has some spots, but otherwise is clean and still in good condition.
