The classic rounded shape with two straps is supposed to take the form and spirit of the butterfly (Papillon). It was originally designed by Henri Vuitton in 1966 and has become one of most endearing bags of Louis Vuitton's collection. This bag also includes a detachable matching accessory pouch that can also be hooked inside or out. For the older style Papillon 30, the originally retail price was $1180. Current retail price for the NM Papillon is $1220.
The classic Monogram Canvas has been Louis Vuitton's trademark design since it was first introduced in 1896. The graphic symbols, including the quatrefoils and flowers, as well as the LV Monogram were used to prevent counterfeiting in the early days when it was first patented. Made of coated canvas, the Monogram's traditional look is also endured by its durability.

The exterior coated canvas is clean and beautiful. The leather trim and handles are still a light honey patina with some light wear along the side piping. The handles have light creasing and the hardware remains bright and clean. The interior leather is clean and overall in excellent condition.
