The classic Monogram Canvas has been Louis Vuitton's trademark design since it was first introduced in 1896. The graphic symbols, including the quatrefoils and flowers, as well as the LV Monogram were used to prevent counterfeiting in the early days when it was first patented. Made of coated canvas, the Monogram's traditional look is also endured by its durability.

The exterior canvas is clean and beautiful, but throughout there is minor creasing. The bottom corner edges have light wear. The leather has developed a caramel patina with light water spots throughout. The leather trim overall has started to crease and wear. The shoulder strap has wear, while the underside has soiling and has developed a waxy texture from being held. The goldtone hardware has surface scratches, but is still bright. The interior has light soiling at the base, but otherwise is clean and still in good condition.
