The classic Monogram Canvas has been Louis Vuitton's trademark design since it was first introduced in 1896. The graphic symbols, including the quatrefoils and flowers, as well as the LV Monogram were used to prevent counterfeiting in the early days when it was first patented. Made of coated canvas, the Monogram's traditional look is also endured by its durability.

The exterior canvas is clean and beautiful, but there is minor creasing and wear in the bottom corner edges. The leather has developed a light patina with overall water spots. The leather trim throughout the bag has creasing and signs of wear. The handles have wear, while the red glazing has faded and is now fraying. The shoulder strap has wear overall and at the end of the belt strap, there are several very small puncture marks visible upon a close inspection (please refer to photo #7 of photo set). The goldtone hardware has surface scratches and flaking. The interior has a perfume scent, but otherwise is clean and still in good condition.
