The classic Monogram Canvas has been Louis Vuitton's trademark design since it was first introduced in 1896. The graphic symbols, including the quatrefoils and flowers, as well as the LV Monogram were used to prevent counterfeiting in the early days when it was first patented.

The exterior is overall in good condition, however, there is slight scuffing at the bottom corner of the base of the bag. The leather has developed a medium patina and the handles are discolored from being held. The underside of the handles have minor creasing from normal wear. The hardware is bright and clean but has light surface scratches and the zipper pulls have minor flaking. The interior lining has some small stains, but is clean and in good condition.
