The Louis Vuitton Monogram Vernis line was first introduced in 1998. In French "vernis" means varnish which explains the shiny and sparkly effect of the bags. It is a monogram embossed coated leather which is like patent leather and has been released in many different colors throughout the years.

The exterior Vernis is clean and beautiful, but on a close inspection there are some faint spots as well as hairline scuff marks. The leather has developed a warm caramel patina, but water spots are present. Throughout the shoulder straps there is creasing as well as signs of wear. The rear shoulder strap has a small pen mark on the underside. The goldtone hardware has surface scratches. The interior lining has some faint stains and a musk odor is detected, but otherwise is clean and still in good condition.
