Released as a part of the Cruise 2008 Collection, the Monogram Canvas Rubis Salina GM Bag features vachetta leather, Monogram Canvas and red crocodile embossed patent leather intertwined to create a surprising take on a classic tote. Shiny studded details and a bright red textile interior finish off this limited edition bag. Retail price is $3070.
The classic Monogram Canvas has been Louis Vuitton's trademark design since it was first introduced in 1896. The graphic symbols, including the quatrefoils and flowers, as well as the LV Monogram were used to prevent counterfeiting in the early days when it was first patented. Made of coated canvas, the Monogram's traditional look is also endured by its durability.

The exterior canvas is clean and beautiful with creasing throughout. The bottom corner edges have light wear. The vachetta leather has developed a light and even patina, but throughout the leather trim has creasing as well as light scuffing. The front of the bag has soiling to the leather trim and handle (please see photos). The red patent leather has minor creasing and faint smudges. The handles overall have creasing. The goldtone hardware has surface scratches. The interior lining has some spots, but otherwise is clean and still in good condition.
