The classic Monogram Canvas has been Louis Vuitton's trademark design since it was first introduced in 1896. The graphic symbols, including the quatrefoils and flowers, as well as the LV Monogram were used to prevent counterfeiting in the early days when it was first patented. Made of coated canvas, the Monogram's traditional look is also endured by its durability.

The exterior canvas is clean and beautiful with minor wear in the bottom corner edges. The outside pockets have edges that have been well worn with curling to the corners. The leather overall has developed a honey patina with allover water spots present. The leather piping has signs of rubbing and soiling especially to the bottom corners, while the belt strap has creasing and water spots. The handles have darkened form being held, black marks, scuffing, oil spots overall, and the glazing has wear. The goldtone hardware has surface scratches and fading. The interior has a minor stains, soiling, and wear, but otherwise is clean and still in good condition.
