The classic Monogram Canvas has been Louis Vuitton's trademark design since it was first introduced in 1896. The graphic symbols, including the quatrefoils and flowers, as well as the LV Monogram were used to prevent counterfeiting in the early days when it was first patented. Made of coated canvas, the Monogram's traditional look is also endured by its durability.

The exterior canvas is clean and beautiful with minor creasing. The leather overall has developed a dark honey patina with water spots, scratches, soiling, and rubbing throughout. There is heavy wear at the bottom corners and base. The tops of the handles have light soiling due to use and have scratches throughout. Also, the glazing on the handles have started to wear down. The goldtone hardware has surface scratches, flaking, and tarnishing. Please note the padlock has been oxidized. The interior has minor wear, scuffing, some spots, and a faint musky odor, but is clean and in great condition.
