The Louis Vuitton Monogram Vernis line was first introduced in 1998. In French "vernis" means varnish which explains the shiny and sparkly effect of the bags. It is a monogram embossed coated leather which is like patent leather and has been released in many different colors throughout the years.

The exterior Vernis is clean and beautiful, but on a close inspection there are several faint scuff marks and transfer spots. The leather has developed a honey patina with water spots and wear throughout. The leather piping and trim have faint soiling. The shoulder strap has allover creasing and has softened from normal use. The goldtone hardware has surface scratches. The interior lining has started to peel (please see image #12), but is otherwise clean and still in good condition.
