The Louis Vuitton Monogram Vernis line was first introduced in 1998. In French "vernis" means varnish which explains the shiny and sparkly effect of the bags. It is a monogram embossed coated leather which is like patent leather and has been released in many different colors throughout the years.

The exterior Vernis is clean and beautiful, but upon close inspection, there is a faint transfer mark at the rear. The shoulder strap and handle has light creasing and light wear, while the leather underside has developed a light patina with wear and water spots. The goldtone hardware has surface scratches, but is still bright. The interior has some scuff marks, some fading, and light wear, but otherwise is clean and still in great condition.
