Karl Lagerfeld designed the Boy Collection as an interpretation of the boyish charm that Coco Chanel was known for. Karl was stated as saying that the very spirit of Chanel was inspired by Boy Capel, the love of her life; which is why this new collection is called the "Boy Chanel." A slight change of pace from the usual Chanel designs, this bag is made of beautiful quilted lambskin leather. This particular bag is the original medium size of the collection and features a long ruthenium chain-link strap with a leather pad that can be used as a long strap or looped around as a shoulder bag. Retail price is $4700.
The exterior leather is clean and beautiful, but has light scuffing and has rubbing and wear at the bottom corners. The leather on the shoulder strap has natural creasing and light wear. The hardware has hairline scratches. The interior is clean and in good condition with scuffing to the underside and light wear to the main compartment.
