The classic Monogram Canvas has been Louis Vuitton's trademark design since it was first introduced in 1896. The graphic symbols, including the quatrefoils and flowers, as well as the LV Monogram were used to prevent counterfeiting in the early days when it was first patented. Made of coated canvas, the Monogram's traditional look is also endured by its durability.

The exterior canvas is clean and beautiful throughout with gentle creasing. The leather has developed a medium honey patina with wear throughout. The leather base has water spots, soiling, scuffing and wear throughout. The leather straps have creasing and the glazing has worn down throughout. The leather strap that cinches the bag closed has come loose at the top and is missing a stud (please see images). The leather along the top of the bag has soiling and wear. The goldtone hardware has surface scratches and wear. The interior is clean but has light signs of wear throughout.
