Karl Lagerfeld designed the Boy Collection as an interpretation of the boyish charm that Coco Chanel was known for. Karl was stated as saying that the very spirit of Chanel was inspired by Boy Capel, the love of her life; which is why this new collection is called the "Boy Chanel." A slight change of pace from the usual Chanel designs, this bag is made of quilted calfskin leather with large stitch quilting. This particular bag is the medium size of the collection and features a long antique ruthenium chain-link strap with a leather pad that can be used as a long strap or looped around as a shoulder bag. Retail price is $4900.
The exterior leather is clean and beautiful throughout with light discoloration to the bottom corner edges and signs of use. The bag has some light creasing at the base and sides. The strap has soiling and wear. The interior lining is clean with signs of use. Overall the bag remains in very good condition.
