Inspired by their rich history of trunk making, the Louis Vuitton Petite Malle beautifully mixes the skilled craftsmanship of trunk construction with the effortless style of a modern day fashionista's crossbody bag. This adorable Petite Malle ("Mini Trunk") was a part of Nicholas Ghesquiere's Fall 2014 collection for Louis Vuitton, which was his first as Creative Director. It uses trunk construction, golden brass detailing, and a signature Louis Vuitton engraved S-lock to create a look that is unmistakably LV but still refined and modern. The three X's pay homage to the signature of the traveler, philanthropist, and photographer Albert Khan, who curated the largest collection of colored autochromes in the world of a journey through India in the 20th and 21st century. This stunning bag is lined with beige lambskin leather that has the Malletage quilting on one side. Carry this piece a tribute to your love for Louis Vuitton. Retail price is $5200.
The exterior Epi leather is clean and beautiful with a small spot on the front and light rubbing on the base. The black leather trim is clean with light creasing to the flap. The shoulder strap remains clean with no wear. The hardware has surface scratches to the blacktone metal corners, but is still bright. The interior leather has some light indentations and some gentle signs of use. Overall this bag remains in good condition.
