Karl Lagerfeld designed the Boy Collection as an interpretation of the boyish charm that Coco Chanel was known for. Karl was stated as saying that the very spirit of Chanel was inspired by Boy Capel, the love of her life; which is why this new collection is called the "Boy Chanel." A slight change of pace from the usual Chanel designs, this bag is made of beautiful glossy red leather. This particular bag is the original medium size of the collection and features a long ruthenium chain-link strap with a leather pad that can be used as a long strap or looped around as a shoulder bag. Last known price of the 'old' style medium size was $4900.
The exterior leather remains clean throughout with some light soiling to the bottom and flap corners. The quilted leather has light creasing and the shoulder strap has some soiling and creasing. The interior lining remains clean but has light signs of use. Overall the bag remains in good condition.
