Karl Lagerfeld designed the Boy Collection as an interpretation of the boyish charm that Coco Chanel was known for. Karl was stated as saying that the very spirit of Chanel was inspired by Boy Capel, the love of her life; which is why this new collection is called the "Boy Chanel." A slight change of pace from the usual Chanel designs, this gorgeous Pre-Fall 2013 bag is made of dark grey suede with black speckling. This particular bag is the medium size of the collection and features a long antique ruthenium chain-link strap with a leather pad that can be used as a long strap or looped around as a shoulder bag. Please note this bag was originally purchased for $3900. Current retail price is $4900.
The exterior suede has become visibly discolored from use over time. The edges and corners show light rubbing and wear. The quilted ridges along the flap have heavy wear and soiling. The underside of the handle has darkened and has creasing. The interior lining is clean but has signs of use. Overall the bag is in good condition.
