Karl Lagerfeld designed the Boy Collection as an interpretation of the boyish charm that Coco Chanel was known for. Karl was stated as saying that the very spirit of Chanel was inspired by Boy Capel, the love of her life; which is why this new collection is called the "Boy Chanel." A slight change of pace from the usual Chanel designs, this bag is made of beautiful blue glossy patent lambskin leather and unique Plexiglas CC closure. This particular bag is the original medium size of the collection and features a long silvertone chain-link strap with a leather pad that can be used as a long strap or looped around as a shoulder bag. Last known price of the 'old' style medium size was $5000.
The exterior patent leather is clean and beautiful with a couple light hairline scratches and has light wear and rubbing at the bottom corners. The strap shows light wear and creasing. The hardware remains bright and shiny with minor, hairline surface scratches. The underside of the flap has minor scuff marks. The interior lining is clean and overall in great condition with light wear.
