The classic Monogram Canvas has been Louis Vuitton's trademark design since it was first introduced in 1896. The graphic symbols, including the quatrefoils and flowers, as well as the LV Monogram were used to prevent counterfeiting in the early days when it was first patented. Made of coated canvas, the Monogram's traditional look is also endured by its durability.

The exterior canvas is noticeably creased throughout. There are minor scuffs and scratches along with rubbing to the bottom corners. The leather trimmings and handles have developed a dark caramel patina throughout. There are scuffs and scratches to the leather but it is still in great condition. The handles have darkened at the top but has then faded. The glazing on the edges of the handles has cracking and wear. There are several lose threads at the base of the handles, although they do not affect the usability of the bag. The hardware is peeling and flaking throughout. The interior has some minor signs of wear as well as fading. Overall this bag has been well loved and is looking for a new home.
