The Louis Vuitton Monogram Vernis line was first introduced in 1998. In French "vernis" means varnish which explains the shiny and sparkly effect of the bags. It is a monogram embossed coated leather which is like patent leather and has been released in many different colors throughout the years.

The exterior vernis leather is clean with rubbing and wear at the corners; and the base has scuffing and light wear. The leather trim and handles developed a dark honey patina with rubbing and soiling. The strap and handles have creasing and the leather has darkened from use. The glazing on the handles has worn down. The hardware has surface scratches throughout, the bottom metal feet have blue protective plastic still in place. The interior lining has rubbing and light signs of gentle use.
