First introduced in Christian Dior's 2018 collection, comes this fabulous Book Tote that has taken social media by storm. The Book Tote comes in all sorts of different versions and colors, and can even be personalized. First introduced for the Spring/Summer 2018 collection, the Book Tote was inspired by archival drawing produced by Marc Bohan in 1967. The American Flag version was created by Dior's Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri to commemorate Christian Dior's first trip to the United States. In 1947, he travelled to Dallas, Texas to accept the Neiman Marcus Fashion Award shortly after he debuted his first collection in Paris. The new pattern features a million embroidery stitches which represents Dior's ties with the US including his visits to the states, which have been inspirations to his works. The bag is a simple design with no interior pockets and just two toting handles, however the bag itself requires more than thirty-seven hours of working and 1,500 stitches to be completed. This bag is the perfect everyday companion and is also an amazing travel bag as seen by the ever fashionable Eva Chen and other celebrities. Retail price is $3000.
The exterior canvas is clean and beautiful throughout with no signs of wear. The handles are stiff and upright. The interior is pristine and the bag appears to be in excellent condition.
