Karl Lagerfeld designed the Boy Collection as an interpretation of the boyish charm that Coco Chanel was known for. Karl was stated as saying that the very spirit of Chanel was inspired by Boy Capel, the love of her life; which is why this new collection is called the "Boy Chanel." This gorgeous bag is made of gorgeous glossy pink patent leather and is the largest size of the collection and features a long chain-link strap with a leather pad that can be used as a long strap or looped around as a shoulder bag. Last known retail price is $5500.
The exterior patent leather is clean and beautiful with light wear on the bottom corners and some soiling on the back panel of the bag. The smooth leather trim has some rubbing at the base of the bag but is otherwise clean. The shoulder strap is lightly creased. The hardware is bright and shiny. There are light scuffs and some spots on the interior but overall, the bag is clean and it remains in excellent condition.
