Karl Lagerfeld designed the Boy Collection as an interpretation of the boyish charm that Coco Chanel was known for. Karl was stated as saying that the very spirit of Chanel was inspired by Boy Capel, the love of her life; which is why this new collection is called the "Boy Chanel." A slight change of pace from the usual Chanel designs, this bag is made of quilted calfskin leather with large stitch quilting. This particular bag is the new medium size of the collection and features a long antique ruthenium chain-link strap with a leather pad that can be used as a long strap or looped around as a shoulder bag. Retail price for the New Medium is $6200.
The exterior leather is clean but there is light scuffing, creasing and light wear on the bottom corners. The leather appears to have been re-dyed by the previous owner. The strap is lightly creased. The hardware is bright and crisp throughout. There are some scuffs under the flap but the lining remains clean throughout.
