Karl Lagerfeld designed the Boy Collection as an interpretation of the boyish charm that Coco Chanel was known for. Karl was stated as saying that the very spirit of Chanel was inspired by Boy Capel, the love of her life; which is why this new collection is called the "Boy Chanel." A slight change of pace from the usual Chanel designs, this bag is made of supple light grey leather with quilted edges. This particular bag is large Maxi size and features a long antique Ruthenium chain-link strap with a leather pad that can be used as a long strap or looped around as a shoulder bag. Retail price is $4900.
The exterior is clean and beautiful throughout with a few minor scuff marks to the smooth leather. The hardware is crisp with minimal hairline surface scratches. The interior lining is clean but does have a few small faint stains. Overall this bag remains in really great condition.
