Karl Lagerfeld designed the Boy Collection as an interpretation of the boyish charm that Coco Chanel was known for. Karl was stated as saying that the very spirit of Chanel was inspired by Boy Capel, the love of her life; which is why this new collection is called the "Boy Chanel." A slight change of pace from the usual Chanel designs, this bag is made of supple light grey leather with quilted edges. This particular bag is large Maxi size and features a long antique Ruthenium chain-link strap with a leather pad that can be used as a long strap or looped around as a shoulder bag. Retail price is $4900.
The exterior leather shows light scuffing and has wear and rubbing to the bottom corners. There are also a few faint on the back. The strap has light creasing and scuffing. The interior is clean and in great condition with creasing, water stains, and scuffing to the underside of the leather flap.
