Karl Lagerfeld designed the Boy Collection as an interpretation of the boyish charm that Coco Chanel was known for. Karl was stated as saying that the very spirit of Chanel was inspired by Boy Capel, the love of her life; which is why this new collection is called the "Boy Chanel." A slight change of pace from the usual Chanel designs, this bag is made of quilted smooth calfskin leather. This particular bag is a newer creation and features an gorgeous leather rolled top handle with chain detail. The bag has the classic long goldtone chain-link strap with a leather pad that can be used as a long strap or looped around as a shoulder bag. The bag has the woven chain detail on the edges of the flap as well. Current retail price is $6400.
The exterior leather remains clean and beautiful throughout with minor scuff marks to the bottom corners and flap corners. The sides have light creasing. The hardware remains bright. The interior lining is clean with minor scuffing to the underside and light soiling to the textile lining. Overall the bag remains in great condition. Please note the bag has a slight cigarette odor.
