Karl Lagerfeld designed the Boy Collection as an interpretation of the boyish charm that Coco Chanel was known for. Karl was stated as saying that the very spirit of Chanel was inspired by Boy Capel, the love of her life; which is why this new collection is called the "Boy Chanel." A slight change of pace from the usual Chanel designs, this bag is made patent leather and features a Plexiglas CC. This particular bag is the Old Medium size of the collection and features a long chain with a leather pad that can be used as a long strap or looped around as a shoulder bag. Current retail price is $4900.
The exterior leather is clean and beautiful with light rubbing and wear at bottom edges. The rear has faint color transfer. The leather on the shoulder strap has creasing, some spots, and light wear. The hardware is bright and crisp with minor hairline scratches. The interior shows light wear and a couple faint spots, but otherwise is in good condition.
