The Louis Vuitton Amarante Monogram Vernis Bel Air is crafted from the glossy and feminine Monogram Vernis patent leather. This bag can be carried in the shoulder or across the body thanks to its long golden chain strap that can be removed so that the bag can be hand held as an elegant clutch. This clutch was originally created by Marc Jacobs for his debut collection for Louis Vuitton in 1998, named after Bel-Air, a wealthy and prominent faux-gated residential community in the Westside of the city of Los Angeles, California, United States. Bel Air also features a golden signature plaque with the Louis Vuitton signature that unveils a press-stud closure. There are six credit card slots and inside zipped pocket and a flat pocket that can be found inside the bag. Retail price is $1050.
The exterior leather is clean and beautiful throughout. The Vernis has softened slightly and there are some minor indentations and scuffs. The strap has light creasing and the underside has soiling. The hardware is bright and shiny with light surface scratches. The interior is clean but has signs of use. Overall the bag is in good condition.
