Yayoi Kusama is known in the art world for her obsession with dots. Artistic Director Marc Jacobs approached Kusama to design a limited edition collection for Louis Vuitton that interprets the emblematic and unforgettable works for Kusama. From the first installment of the Yayoi Kusama collaboration, the Infinity Dots Vernis Papillon features the classic Monogram Vernis in a bright red with an overlay of large polka dots in one of Louis Vuitton's most recognizable styles. The exterior Vernis remains clean and beautiful throughout. The vachetta leather trim and handles remain light and have not yet developed a patina. The hardware remains bright and shiny with hairline surface scratches. The interior lining is clean throughout, however the bag suffers from a smoky/musty odor, most likely from being kept in storage. Overall the bag remains in excellent condition.
